Summer Fun

It's time for summer reading! Let's choose a book and get started so we can discuss it in a week or two. What are some ideas for fun & frivolity? I usually read YA fiction in the summer, but nothing's coming to mind. Let's read something together! Now!

i'm in too! how about Flabbergasted by Ray Blackstock or The Yada Yada Sisterhood by Neta Jackson? i have read them both but LOVE them! and they are light summer fun reading. check them out on amazon. of course i'm up for anything. just some suggestions.

p.s. crystal is not bossy. just assertive!

I haven't read Yada Yada. Does anyone else want to read that one?

I'm liking being "assertive" instead of "bossy."

Next time my kids grouch at my bossy mom-ness, I'll say, "Hey! I'm being assertive!"

Have any of you read or like to read children's novels? The Fablehaven series is a fun easy read. I loved it. Also the Jan Karon books are great.

I've been hearing buzz about the Fable Haven Series. I don't know anything about them, but now want to read them so I'll be in the know.

So Kay? If you haven't read Fablehaven yet, shall we go for it? It would be fun for everyone to read something new.

I'm going to check out Yada and Flabbergasted, too.

I'm all for the Fablehaven books! Max's teacher read the 1st book aloud in class & he LOVED IT. So that'd be fun to read the series along with him. Should we do the 1st book and see if we want to just zip through the entire series?
